ELT in a Technology Environment

The ELT program produced solid, measurable results at Solectron.  We needed to make sure our workforce was familiar with English language terms used in our technical documentation.  We found that after the program, documentation-based defect problems dropped, productivity increased and some of the individuals involved in those classes are now ready for promotion into supervisory roles.  Through these programs, Solectron and ELT developed a true partnership.

ELT in a Hospital Environment 

We definitely saw an increase in our employees' confidence levels.  Many people who attended the course were practicing English with their supervisors almost immediately.  There is no doubt that employees who use English as a second language want to learn English, and ELT provided MetroWest with a way to make it happen, on-site and on schedule.

ELT classes help the employee understand the procedures as outlined by the manager without having an interpreter present all the time.   

The communication between ELT and MetroWest Medical Center was excellent.  Through regularly scheduled meetings with ELT and our supervisors, we knew everyone was on the same page.
