ELT's commitment to quality service begins with training and retaining good teachers.  Many teachers have specialties in their field and work with The ELT Company to customize the program to your company's specific needs.  Students frequently rate ELT teachers "Excellent" at the conclusion of the course.

ELT teachers bring worldwide expertise into your company’s classroom.  Most ELT teachers have lived and worked abroad and all have excellent experience teaching international students in the USA.  Most fluently speak at least one language other than English.   

Following are biographies of the ELT director and six teachers:  

Jennifer Boudrie, M.Ed. Instructional Design, is The ELT Company's director. In addition to directing daily operations, she consults on workplace education and presents specialized workshops on cross-cultural communication / diversity.  Jennifer has traveled to Brazil, Central America, China, Europe, Egypt and Nigeria. Her work abroad includes lecturing on American culture and history at the Beijing Institute of Labor Planning and Administration in China, and teaching English in Nigeria.  She has designed language and culture programs since 1990 and is a highly regarded expert on workplace language and culture education in both technical and non-technical areas.

C.W. has an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the School for International Training in Vermont.   She taught English in Costa Rica and China after receiving her MA.  She teaches beginner-level workplace ESOL at manufacturing and hospital sites and has enjoyed teaching students from all over the world.  

P.K has an MA in English and MS in Journalism.  His career as a freelance writer eventually led to teaching.  He is an experienced teacher of intermediate and advanced ESOL employees and helps refine their speaking and writing skills for current work performance and career advancement. He has traveled to Europe and Australia, and studied Spanish and French.  

 

L.R. has a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.  Her professional writing and teaching career follow twelve years' work as a research scientist and travel to four countries.

A.S. has an MA in French from Middlebury College, VT.  Her extensive teaching background includes twelve years of ESOL, and eight years of French and German.  Her instructional focus includes specific pronunciation needs and general language refinement in speaking and writing skills for the workplace.  She has lived in five countries and is fluent in three languages.

S.H. has an MA in Cultural Studies and a CELT/SIT TESOL Certificate to Teach English as a Second or Other Language.  She has taught workplace ESOL in a technical manufacturing environment focusing on grammar, writing, pronunciation, and conversation skills.  She has lived abroad for six years and speaks three languages.

P.F. has an M.Ed. in Developmental Reading.  She specializes in teaching literacy to pre-beginners.  Her work in community adult education and workplace programs for fifteen years includes a multi-sensory approach to teaching ESOL adults and accelerated student learning.
